ABOUT Prof (Dr) Deepak Sreevastava

Overview :

Dr Deepak Sreevastava is not only endowed with the modern clinical skills in anaesthesia but also is adept in process improvements to enhance the surgical and anaesthesia safety standards in OT to the highest level possible.

Work Experience:
  • He has worked as a Consultant anaesthesiologist in all the big hospitals of the Indian Army Medical Corps located in Pune, Delhi, Lucknow etc.
  • He has also been head of the department of anaesthesiology at hospitals in Pune and Delhi. He has worked as a lead anaesthesiologist in the Liver-Transplant programme for nearly two years at Army Hospital (R & R) a pioneer in the country in this field.
  • His other notable contributions include the introduction of Anaesthesia Information Management System leading to a revolution in data management, training in trauma life support as per ATLS standards, and conceptualization of Acute Pain Service, a modern approach to ensure inclusive anaesthetic care.
  • He has prepared several patient education materials on anaesthesia and patient safety.
  • Dr Deepak also has extensive administrative experience and, as Medical Director of two large sized hospitals of the Army Medical Corps, he spruced up the clinical processes, improved clinical governance and patient safety in accordance with existing standards.
