Overview :
As the Clinical Director of Critical Care Medicine, Dr Wadwa oversees both administrative and clinical operations, ensuring optimal patient outcomes while driving innovation in the department. Her key responsibilities include:
Patient Care and Management:
- Ensuring seamless inter-departmental coordination to provide the best critical care services.
- Counseling patients’ families, addressing grievances, and managing conflicts.
- Reviewing and investigating treatment protocols, especially in mortality or morbidity cases.
Operational Management:
- Managing patient flow and bed allocation for critically ill patients from the ER or wards.
- Overseeing the allocation, training, and duty management of doctors and nurses in the department.
- Monitoring the quality and maintenance of biomedical equipment, drugs, and consumables.
Innovation and Development:
- Spearheading the adoption of new technologies and AI-driven digitalization in ICUs.
- Leading the department's expansion in line with the hospital’s vision.
- Supporting JCI and NABH accreditation processes through skill enhancement and compliance measures.
Contributions to Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs):
- Active participation in MDT meetings to review and explain patient management to families.
- Providing guidance for continuous skill upgrades of departmental personnel.
